Perfect croutons

Especially good with croissants (but any kind of tasty bread will do), these croutons are so rich and buttery and full of fresh herb flavor. You’ll just eat them as a snack – oh and top salads and chili too!

Ingredients:

Buttery croutons
  • 6 buttery croissants (your favorite brand)
  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp finely chopped rosemary
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan

Directions

Step One

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut bread into cubes, bite-sized, approximately 1/2 inch. In a large bowl, toss cubed bread with oil and butter until evenly coated. Add salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, rosemary, and Parmesan cheese, and toss to combine until the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the cubed bread. Divide the seasoned bread cubes between two large baking sheets so the cubes are not touching.

Step two

Bake until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through, approximately 15 minutes total. Oven temps vary so check that yours are crispy and brown.

Step Three

Let cool completely and enjoy or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. The croutons also freeze well.
