Inspired by the original PorchFest in Ithaca, this local version began in 2018 thanks to neighbors with a simple idea: performers + porches = community. Even rain couldn’t stop that first year, and since then the event has exploded — now featuring over 70 performers and thousands of attendees, complete with fun annual themes, city partnerships, and donations to local nonprofits.
